Our lettings department is currently led by Suzy Johnstone Smith, who joined the Land Agency and Development Land department in our Market Harborough office at the start of this year. With a lengthy background in the commercial insurance industry spanning 20 years, Suzy has expertise in rural, farm, and estate insurance, bringing a wealth of additional experience to our team.

Having previously covered the Northamptonshire and Leicestershire patches, Suzy possesses extensive agricultural and local knowledge that reinforces her understanding of the East Midlands’ unique property landscape. This equips her to navigate the intricacies of the lettings market effectively. In addition to her professional achievements, Suzy is passionate about furthering her education and is set to enrol in a part-time degree in Environmental Science and Land Management.

We take on and manage lettings properties across the same radius as our residential sales department – between Stamford and Market Harborough, including Leicestershire and Rutland. We handle a diverse range of properties, from period family homes to smaller properties, catering to various tenants’ needs and budgets. Whether you are looking for a town centre apartment or a rural family-sized cottage, there are a variety of options on our books.

King West proudly upholds partnerships with several well-known estates across the East Midlands, including Rockingham, Burghley, Lamport, and Great Oakley, managing a variety of their properties to let. Suzy plays a central role in supporting these partnerships, spending Wednesdays at the Lamport Hall office to meet with tenants and answer any queries. For Rockingham, Suzy coordinates property viewings and manages contract formalities, showcasing her versatility in handling everything from light-touch support to full-service arrangements. Meanwhile, Burghley Estate’s properties, primarily located in and around Stamford, offer tenants the charm of historical residences blended with local conveniences. Our partnership with Great Oakley Estate further expands our portfolio with beautiful homes in Northamptonshire, situated within a scenic landscape, providing an exceptional living experience.
